Rike Park and the Bridge of Peace are new sights of Tbilisi, which speak no less about the city than its famous historical buildings.
Recreation Park Rike is located in the prestigious Avlabari district in relative proximity to the metro station with the same name. The Bridge of Peace — a pedestrian bridge, built in 2010, stretches across the Kura River (Mtkvari), it is 156 meters long and has a modern high-tech style. And this place is associated with a legend about the founding of the city. It deals with the hunt of King Vakhtang Gorgasal in the V century. The founder of Tbilisi aptly shot a pheasant, which fell straight into a hot spring at the place where Rike park is. The bird was healed, and the king, being impressed by what has happened, ordered to build a city here and transfer the capital to it.
The structure of the Bridge of Peace
The Bridge of Peace stands on four steel beams, their frame, also made from steel, grows in the form of a grid, the mesh is filled with glass. The night lighting was designed by Filippov Martino. During evenings and nights, about 30,000 lamps are glowing in the dark, they flicker and create a unique view from the side.

Illumination is placed on two sides of the bridge, even though visually it seems that it covers the entire Bridge of Peace. How to get to the Bridge of Peace
You can get to the bridge from two sides of the river — from the embankments of boulevards and from Irakli street 2, near Rike Park.
